Palm trees galore  ©  Leo dean 2005

There’s some things I wanna see before I die,
Like my toes disappearing’ in the sand…. walkin’ hand in hand.
Down a white sand beach with the moon shinin’ on the water.
…….and Palm trees galore.
There’s some things that I wanna  hear before I go away.
Like steel drum music from a Caribbean band….ice cubes twinkling’ in my right hand,
An the grand kids playin’ in the back yard screamin’ for their mama.
…..an Palm trees galore.

I need Palm trees to take me back home and forget all the landlocked the places I’ve roamed,
Where the sea was a dream and a picture in magazine.
I want Palm trees that rustle and sway and give me cool shade on a hot summers day
Palm trees to take me away from it all.
I need Palm trees….Palm trees galore.

There’s a whole lot of songs to sing before I say bye bye.
About friends that I made and women that I’ve loved.
And prayers that I prayed to the heavens above
To give me just one more day in the bright sunshine.
And Palm trees galore.
